Youth Counselling
Person-centred, holistic counselling for children, teens and youth. Specialising in art therapy, play therapy, psycho-education, nervous system support, emotional & social skills. Creating vibrant futures for young people.
How does this work?
I work with children and teenagers aged 8–18 years old, offering a warm, supportive and person-centred approach to counselling. Together, we explore their relationship to themselves and the world around them, while focusing on their strengths, interests and individual needs. Sessions are designed to support young people in building the emotional and social skills they need to feel more confident, connected and resilient in everyday life.
My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and non-pathologising, and is grounded in openness, acceptance and curiosity. I create a safe and explorative space where young people can feel heard, seen and supported to express themselves freely while developing a deeper understanding of their inner world.
Sessions may include a range of therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the child or teen, including art therapy, play therapy, movement-based therapy, psycho-education, nervous system support, Zones of Regulation, emotional awareness and social skills development. I work collaboratively with each young person at their own pace, supporting emotional regulation, self-awareness, confidence and healthy coping strategies.
Sessions are 60 minutes long and are offered both in person and online. I currently practice from a private space in the Byron Industrial Estate on Mondays, with online sessions available Tuesdays and Fridays. Depending on the needs of the child and family, I may also be able to offer sessions within the home or school environment.
Therapeutic Modalities used:
I am a registered psychotherapist and counsellor with experience supporting children and adolescents in both private practice and school settings. Alongside my private practice, I currently work as a counsellor across two different schools locally in the Northern Rivers, supporting young people with emotional wellbeing, relationships, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation and life challenges.
